Tone & purpose Essay

My advertisement shows how bad any type of dogs breath can smell without using the #1 dog breath curor in the U.S.A. It shows by using a dog with it's tongue out, and it's eyes crossed with it's mouth dropped, and there is also a yellow tweetie bird that was apparently alive at the moment, until the big-bad-breath smelling dog came over to itself and barked. Unfortuantly the dogs breath smelled like rotten-eggs and killed it.
The tone of my ad is humerous. It's humerous because the bird fell over dead unexpectedly because of the dog's bad breath, which smelt horrid. But because of the dead bird, another reason why it's humerous, the company came out with something called "Denta-Stix". Another reason why the tone is humerous is because the dog's eyes are crossed, trying to look at the bird thru its cage but couldn't concentrate on the bird itsself.
The purpose of my ad is to make a dog's breath smell better, one dog at a time. By looking at the ad, more dog owners will buy it helping the company out AND helpings dog's breath. Therefor, no more killing birds.
The author is underscoring how bad a dog's breath can smell by using an example of a dog itself and a bird that die's. Point is DOG BREATH STINKS! and people do not like the smell of it, so they came out with a GREAT product for the cause.
